Dr. Kumar and his skilled team strive to use new technology to improve conditions that maybe affecting your daily routine, and ones that help you achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.

The sections below will provide you with a more detailed description of the advanced options available at Wickham Dental Care.

Digital X-rays

Digital x-ray imaging of your teeth and gums allows the dentist to immediately review them. Digital x-rays are more detailed than traditional, allowing us to better assess your teeth and make a more accurate treatment plan. This diagnostic technology not only saves time, but is an environmentally friendly much safer option for our patients, reducing exposure to radiation by up to 90%.

Prexion 3D CT Scan

Prexicon 3D is a new x-ray system that provides high-resolution rendering for dental imaging. This technology assists our practice with implantology, general dentistry, surgical and periodontal procedures by creating detailed 3D images and 2D panoramic views, giving Wickham Dental Care the most accurate assessment of the structure of your mouth and clear views of nerves and soft tissue.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras make it possible for us to have an enhanced view of the inside of your mouth. With this technology, you will see what Dr. Kumar and his dental team sees. This makes it easier for you to understand your treatment plan and see how it will enhance your oral health and smile.

Piezo Surgery

Piezo surgery is an innovative technique used in bone surgery. The process uses piezoelectric vibrations in the application of cutting bone tissue. It is less invasive and more accurate for cutting hard tissue, while minimizing the trauma to soft tissue. Wickham Dental Care utilizes this latest technology for dental implant treatments, allowing for more precise placement of the implant and more importantly, a more comfortable experience for our patients.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Platelet rich therapy promotes soft tissue healing and enhances bone regeneration. PRP injections are prepared from one’s own blood and are applied to the point of injury; jump starting the body’s natural healing process. Dr. Kumar will consult with you prior to your surgery and determine if this treatment is right for you.
